Since the creation of TOUAX in 1853, TOUAX Barge Division experienced a strong and strategic international expansion over time. With its 150 years of experience, TOUAX has developed strong capacities in the river transport.
TOUAX offers services in all ports on inland waterway network. The Group structure and its implementation of subsidiaries on the main rivers in Europe provide a competitive advantage:
- Complete transport services from France all over Europe and vice versa. We organize transport by combining all transport modes: waterway, road and rail. We contract transport for general, bulk, special, over-sized and liquid cargo.
- Operational services using home and foreign flag vessels in order to get the most competitive price with the highest level of service. We operate with our own fleet of ships, chartered vessels and a large number of privately-owned motor-vessels under contract with us. This large range of vessels allows us to select the right size, adapted to customers’ needs with a first-class service.
- Representation of ship-owners towards operators, exporters, importers, forwarders, customs, harbours.
In France, TOUAX is the largest lessor of barges. We have a strong financial backing and we provide a full range of leasing transactions to meet our customers’ short, medium or long-term requirements. We also provide full pay out lease, lease purchase or sales and lease back.

Eurobulk Transport B.V.
Eurobulk has a long expertise in inland shipping. We offer to our clients a full package service without limitations of products.
Located in Dordrecht, near the leading European port of Rotterdam, we provide transport and sub-hire of dry bulk cargo, containers and floating storage.
We perform on a vast network of the main rivers and waterways linking the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp to various destinations throughout Europe: Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland and Danube area down to the Black Sea.
We own our river units that represent a capacity of more than 130.000 tons per day. Barge capacity varies from 2.300 to 5.000 Mt. We also manage 80 motor-vessels of different dimensions from 300 tons up to 3.000 tons.
This combination of barges and motor-vessels allows us:
- to be flexible
- to propose an adequate vessel for each transport
- to propose the cheapest vessel to our client
C. S. de Jonge
Founded in 1940, CS de Jonge is a affreightment company acting as an intermediary between clients and private motor-vessel owners.
Our criteria of motor-vessels selection are world-class. We work with vessels having low fuel consumption and well-maintained hull. We time charter motor-vessels to make sure that we provide the best equipment at the cheapest rate for our clients.
We operate on the market of general cargo and thanks to the different dimensions of our selected motor-vessels (from 300 to 3.000 tons), we can propose a solution for any cargo to various destinations in Europe: Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and the Danube area.

Touax Leasing Corp.
Founded in 1981, as a subsidiary of TOUAX Group, TOUAX Leasing Corp. leases barges on the Mississippi River, the main artery of a large natural system of inland rivers and waterways of 25.000 miles.
Touax owns recent equipment with a total capacity of 150.000 tons. The 14' covered hopper barges are managed by our partners.
With over 150 years of experience in river barges transport and leasing, TOUAX Leasing Corp. proposes different services:
